A family of five, we set off from Bangalore on a direct flight, and for four days, we were hoping to have great fun, eat delicious food, shop till we drop and click amazing pictures. Hyderabad is a vibrant city full of great cultural at the same time iconic places.

Day 1: Ramoji Film City – A Dream Come True for Kids

We kicked off our trip with a visit to Ramoji Film City, one of the largest film studios in the world. The kids were so very excited as we explored the massive 2,000-acre campus, which features film sets, theme parks, and live shows. From the Bollywood Street to the Japanese Garden, the kids had a fantastic time, especially enjoying the rides.

The ticket prices for adults are around ₹1,100 and ₹900 for children, which is great value for the full day of entertainment. After a long and tiring day for dinner we went to Paragon Restaurant and had the mouthwatering Hyderabadi Biryani which is famous for its flavorful rice and tender meat.

The biryani, with its aromatic spices, was the highlight of our trip. The rates at Paragon are reasonable, with a meal for five costing around ₹1,500–₹2,000.

Day 2: Charminar and Shopping at Choodi Bazaar

The next day, we headed to Charminar, one of Hyderabad’s most iconic landmarks. Standing tall at 400 years old, Charminar is a beautiful example of Mughal architecture, offering a stunning view of the surrounding city from the top.

After soaking in the history, we made our way to Choodi Bazaar, the perfect place to shop for traditional bangles, intricate jewelry, and handcrafted goods. The market was alive with vibrant colors and bustling energy, and we took our time picking out beautiful souvenirs to take home.

Day 3: Malls, Snow City, and the Best of Hyderabadi Food

On Day 3, we visited GVK One Mall and Forum Sujana Mall, where the kids enjoyed the entertainment zones while the adults explored the shops. We also made a stop at Snow World, an indoor snow park, which was a hit with the kids. They had a blast playing in the snow, sliding down ice slides, and making snowballs—it was the perfect cool escape from the Hyderabad heat!

Of course, a trip to Hyderabad wouldn’t be complete without indulging in some of its famous food. We made a stop at Karachi Bakery, known for its iconic biscuits and baked goods. We purchased some delicious fruit biscuits and plum cakes—perfect souvenirs for our trip. For lunch, we treated ourselves to a hearty meal at Shilparamam, a traditional South Indian restaurant. The flavors of the Hyderabadi biryani and mirchi ka salan were absolutely unforgettable, and the meal cost us around ₹1,500–₹2,000 for the whole family.

Day 4: Final Day Relaxation and Flight Back

On the final day, we revisited a few of our favorite spots, soaking in the last moments of the city before heading to the airport for our flight back to Bangalore. From shopping to sightseeing, our four days in Hyderabad were a whirlwind of fun and adventure.
