Table of Contents

Day 1: Journey Begins

We, two friends from Hyderabad, embarked on an exciting trip to Kerala, aiming to witness the grandeur of Jatayu Earth’s Center in Chadayamangalam. The journey was smooth, and upon arrival, we were greeted by the majestic sight of the world’s largest bird sculpture.

Day 2: Immersing in the Legend

The main attraction of the park is the massive Jatayu sculpture, 200 feet long, 150 feet wide, and 70 feet tall. Sculptor Rajiv Anchal designed this statue, which is a tribute to the heroic efforts of the mythological eagle Jatayu in rescuing Sita from Ravana. Within the sculpture, we visited a five-level audiovisual museum recounting the Ramayana epic

Day 3: Aerial and Ground Adventures

To truly appreciate the scale of the sculpture, we took a cable car ride imported from Switzerland. The ride offered panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, enhancing our experience. For those seeking a more adventurous approach, an 826-step walkway meanders through the rocky terrain, leading directly to the sculpture .

Day 4: Adventure Activities

Thrill-seekers can indulge in various activities like zip-lining, rappelling, and log walking at the Adventure Rock Hill. The 300-meter-long zip-line provides an exhilarating glide with breathtaking views .

Day 5: Relaxation and Reflection

Following the rush of adrenaline, we chose to relax at the Yoga Village with rejuvenating sessions surrounded by nature. Glamping is also provided by the center, so guests can enjoy sleeping under the stars with a campfire and moonlight dinner.

Day 6: Departure

Our sojourn ended on a positive note. Jatayu Earth’s Center is not just a view into mythology, but also presents a mix of adventure, rest, and experience of culture. If one plans to visit, it is suggested that one see the official site for the current information on facilities and activities.
