As two brothers with a thirst for adventure, we’ve explored many places together, but nothing quite compares to our recent trip to Pachmarhi, a hidden gem tucked away in the Satpura range of Madhya Pradesh. Known as the “Queen of Satpura,” this hill station is where history, nature, and adventure collide in the most amazing way. So, buckle up as we take you on our unforgettable journey through this beautiful hill station, with all the must-see spots and thrilling activities that made our trip a true adventure!
The Arrival: A Scenic Drive to Pachmarhi

As we made our way into the hill station, the sight of rolling hills, thick forests, and cool mountain air immediately set the tone for our trip. After a long day of driving, we finally reached our accommodation—a cozy little resort surrounded by nature. We couldn’t wait to get out and start exploring the hills.
Bee Falls: Our First Stop

The next morning, we set out early to visit Bee Falls, one of the most iconic spots in Pachmarhi. After a short hike through dense forest trails, we arrived at the waterfall, and it was more stunning than we could’ve imagined. The water cascades down from a height, creating a refreshing mist that filled the air. The surroundings were peaceful, and we decided to take a dip. Splashing around in the cool waters felt like the perfect start to our adventure.
Trekking to Dhoopgarh: Reaching New Heights
No trip to Pachmarhi is complete without trekking to Dhoopgarh, the highest point in the region. The hike was a bit challenging, but the views made every step worth it. The lush greenery, rocky terrain, and the gentle climb gave us a real sense of adventure. At the top, the view was nothing short of spectacular! We could see the entire Satpura range, with its valleys and ridges stretching far into the horizon. As the sun began to set, the sky lit up with hues of orange and pink—one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever witnessed.

Exploring the Pandava Caves: A Step Back in Time
Being history buffs, we couldn’t miss a visit to the Pandava Caves, a set of ancient rock-cut caves believed to have been the resting place of the Pandavas during their exile. The caves, perched high on a hill, offered not only a glimpse into the past but also an incredible view of the surrounding landscape. Inside, we found carvings and inscriptions that added to the mystical feel of the place. It was an experience that made us feel connected to the legends of ancient India.

Rajat Prapat (Silver Falls): Nature at Its Finest
After a day of exploring the caves and the highlands, we decided to take a more relaxed route and visit Rajat Prapat, also known as the Silver Falls. A short trek led us to this two-tiered waterfall, and we were awestruck by the sight of the water tumbling down from a height into a cool, inviting pool.
Adventure in the Satpura Forests
We spent a day exploring the thick forests on foot, following one of the many trekking trails that wind through the hills. Whether it was spotting exotic birds, or trekking to hidden viewpoints, every trail in Pachmarhi seemed to offer a new experience. For the more adventurous, you can also try paragliding or even a jeep safari through the Satpura National Park, where you might catch glimpses of wildlife like leopards, tigers, and various species of deer.
Mahadev Temple: Spiritual Serenity
Our last stop before heading back was the Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Perched on a high hill, this temple offered one of the most stunning panoramic views of the entire region.
Conclusion: A Journey of Discovery
Our trip to Pachmarhi was everything we had hoped for and more. From the exhilarating hikes to the peaceful moments by waterfalls, the town had something for both of us.
